Milwaukee Bucks boycott Game 5 vs. Magic following the shooting of Jacob Blake

As the Orlando Magic warmed up for Game 5 of the opening-round playoff series versus the Bucks at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Wednesday afternoon, Milwaukee players and personnel remained in the locker room up through the contest's tipoff time.

Milwaukee ultimately chose to not play to send a message to anybody watching.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report the Bucks have boycotted Game 5 of the series in the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake.

Blake, an unarmed African American man, was shot seven times by police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Sunday. He's reportedly paralyzed

Earlier in the day, stories surfaced that players from both the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics were considering boycotting at least Thursday's Eastern Conference semifinal opener between the two clubs.

The Detroit Lions of the NFL canceled a Tuesday practice to protest the shooting.
