On Thursday, 14-year veteran Danilo Gallinari signed with the Milwaukee Bucks for the remainder of the season, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

This news follows days of speculation surrounding the Suns’ interest in Gallinari. Speculation initially arose due to the deep connections Gallinari has with members of the Suns organization.

For instance, Devin Booker’s father played with Gallinari back in Italy. Additionally, Jusuf Nurkic, who was Gallinari’s teammate during their tenure with the Nuggets from 2014 to 2017, engaged in some “scouting” on social media by tweeting a post that translates to “Brother” and tagging Danilo Gallinari.

However, despite these connections, the Suns apparently did not pursue a deal aggressively enough to secure Danilo. Instead, Gallinari will join the 3rd-place Bucks in the Eastern Conference.

This season, the 35-year-old has averaged 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, combining his time with the Pistons and Wizards.

Since being drafted in the 1st round of the 2008 draft, Gallinari has now been with 8 different teams, including the Bucks.
