Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade is no stranger to the big lights in the NBA. That’s why it makes perfect sense for him to throw some serious praise on Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards‘ name after a breathtaking dunk he just made.

Just recently, the Timberwolves faced off against the Utah Jazz and went home with the 114-104 win over them. Edwards dropped 32 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists while Naz Reid stepped up in place of an injured Karl-Anthony Towns by adding 17 points and four rebounds.

Lauri Markkanen made 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz and Collin Sexton came off from the bench to contribute 24 points, one rebound, and two assists. Rookie Keyonte George started as Utah’s point guard and added 15 points and eight assists.

At this point in time, Utah is in 12th place in the Western Conference with 29 wins and 38 losses. The Timberwolves, on the other hand, are doing their best to stay within the top three by holding on to their 46-21 record.

Miami Heat Legend Dwyane Wade Drops Some Serious Praise on Minnesota Timberwolves Star Anthony Edwards After Breathtaking Dunk

Around the third quarter, Edwards led an attack to the rim with John Collins waiting for him underneath it. After receiving a pass from Mike Conley, the former number one pick rose up and went up for a thunderous jam.

Along with everyone else on social media, Wade saw Edwards’ dunk. Shortly after, the Miami Heat star put some praise on the Timberwolves star’s name in a post he shared on X:

After the dunk happened, Edwards hurt his finger, but elected to continue playing. The Timberwolves star drew the foul, and proceeded to get the win over Utah.

Without a doubt, the All-Star’s play is a clear favorite to win dunk of the year for many people. And if Wade’s endorsement is an indication, Edwards will surely garner more attention in the coming days.
