Veteran forward Joe Ingles knows a thing to two about talking trash, but even he is not about to try and get under the skin of Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards.

Via Olgun Uluc of ESPN:

Like Ingles, Edwards has made a name for himself as one of the NBA’s most prolific and entertaining trash-talkers, but the Australian says he has no plans to poke his new teammate.

“He’s good,” Ingles said of Edwards’ trash talk. “I’ll save it for someone else.

Ingles has found a new home in the NBA after the Orlando Magic decided to not pick up their team option on him for the 2024-25 NBA season which was worth $11 million. The Magic used the money they saved on their Ingles decision to augment their expenditure on acquiring Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Joe Ingles finds a new landing spot with the Minnesota Timberwolves

As for Ingles, he agreed to a one-year deal with the Timberwolves for just $3.3 million. It’s not the same money as what he would have earned if the Magic retained him, but at least he lands on a team that is clearly a contender for an NBA title after just appearing in the 2024 NBA Western Conference finals, where they lost to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

Ingles will provide depth plus experience for the Timberwolves, who are becoming an Anthony Edwards team.

Ingles, who played his first eight seasons in the NBA with the Utah Jazz, averaged 4.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 68 appearances for the Magic last season.
