Monday NBA betting: Three-pointer props
We've found a solid base in the NBA prop market, for now, with the focus on three-pointers made.
While Sunday was the first day without a winner circled, it was an overall great week, so the plan here is to roll that momentum forward into this fresh week of NBA.
Tonight, we have four targets. There might be some familiar names in these articles, which makes sense. To me, it's all about volume. I'm really looking for a consistent floor of 7+ attempts. Here are my picks:
Jayson Tatum
Tatum and the Celtics will face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight, a team that is letting in the fourth-most threes per game this season.
The Thunder also struggle slowing down forwards, which favors a big Tatum game tonight.
Tatum has the exact type of volume we covet, averaging 10.0 attempts from deep in his past ten games.
The last time he faced off against Oklahoma City, Tatum put in six threes on 12 attempts.
Love the volume, the opponent, the past production, and these odds.
Betting options:
- 4+ threes (+114 FanDuel)
- 5+ threes (+270 FD)
Luka Doncic
We have to go right back to Luka after his monster Saturday, but honestly - we would be betting on him regardless if his shots went in or not.
Doncic has 10+ attempts from three in eight straight games, averaging 11.0 per game in his last five.
He's fresh off an 8 for 12 performance and gets a Minnesota defense allowing the seventh-most threes per game.
Doncic has crossed this 3.5 line in six of his last eight, so he has the makes to accompany the volume. He's in a good spot again tonight.
Betting options:
- 4+ threes (+104 FD)
- 5+ threes (+235 FD)
Terry Rozier
Rozier has been a name I've targeted in the past, and he's had some solid success lately from long range.
In his past seven games, Rozier has 4+ threes seven times, and he had 7 threes against this Pelicans team just 10 days ago.
He gets them again tonight, a team that ranks in the bottom-ten of threes allowed, opponent 3P% and point guard defense.
Rozier is averaging 8.8 three-point attempts per game in his last ten, I like following this role.
Betting options:
- 4+ threes (+126 FD)
- 5+ threes (+260 FD)
Saddiq Bey
Saddiq Bey was one of this study's crown jewels last week, putting in 10 threes and 51 points on a night we highlighted him.
We're back to him again, as Bey and the Pistons will face off against the Portland Trail Blazers. It's become clear almost immediately that Portland is a great target on a nightly basis.
The Blazers are allowing the third-most threes per game and are allowing opponents to shoot 37% from deep, the highest mark in the league.
Portland also struggles against SFs, allowing the fourth-most points per game to the position.
There's a lot to like here, per usual, and Bey has been chucking up so many threes.
In his past ten games, Bey is averaging 7.7 three-point attempts, and after a down game on Saturday, I think higher volume is in store here.
Betting options:
- 4+ threes (+136 FD)
- 5+ threes (+320 FD)
Good luck tonight! This approach truly is as simple as it gets. Consider any of the above's points over as well, or target one of their teammates.
