It’s funny how a little gesture can completely turn a life around. Your friends and close ones can inspire you in ways you never thought you could be inspired, and if you don’t take our word for it, just ask Moses Brown.

A couple of years ago, Brown went viral for the wrong reasons. He threw a bad pass that ended on a lost possession as UCLA was down 2 points down the stretch. He walked back on defense looking sad and disappointed, and his teammate Jaylen Hands reminded him to always keep his chin up regardless of the mistake he made.

That inspirational clip went viral, UCLA ended up rallying to win the game, and we didn’t hear much about Moses Brown for a while, until now.

Brown got a chance to play with the rebuilding Oklahoma City Thunder early in the season. He was later sent to the G-League bubble where he made a great impression.

Then, he stole the show with an impressive 21-point, 23-rebound performance vs. the Boston Celtics, up to the point where the team decided to sign him to a four-year, $6.8 million deal.

Brown went undrafted after his lone year at UCLA. He played a handful of games with the Portland Trail Blazers but spent most of the time in their G-League affiliate before getting the nod with the Thunder.

And now that Al Horford is shut down for the year, it seems like the 21-year-old big man will have the green light to continue his development with a young team, once again proving that regardless if you mess up once, you must always keep your head up and continue grinding.
