The new NBA season has only been chugging along for a couple of weeks now but multiple divergent storylines have emerged during that time.

There has been the drama surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets, as well as the surprising performances of the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers.

And, at the end of it all, a few teams fighting to be the best in the league.

NBA.com has posted its latest power rankings, summarizing the greatest teams in the association.

Unsurprisingly, the Milwaukee Bucks made the top of the list, thanks to their undefeated record and MVP-like work from Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns are again in contention at the number two spot while the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers are right below them.

The most surprising teams on this list would be the Trail Blazers and Jazz, who most people had written off before tip-off on October 18.

And who would have imagined the championship Golden State Warriors would be all the way down at number nine on this list?

Sensational Season So Far

This is exactly what NBA fans have been waiting for.

They wanted a season that had fireworks right from the start and, sure enough, that is what they are getting.

It’s shocking to see the struggles of the Lakers and Nets while seeing other teams like the Jazz and Blazers rise.

And don’t forget about the Charlotte Hornets and San Antonio Spurs, who are also doing better than expected.

The season is long and a lot will change over the next few months.

Still, there are many people who expect the team currently sitting at the top of the power rankings to remain there all season long.
