NBA best bets: Wiesguy's two picks and a prop for 3/8

Yesterday was a draw. Walker Kessler was a scratch last night and we went 1-1 with our side picks on the day. Orlando was a no-show against the Bucks, even though they scratched some key players, meanwhile, Detroit played Washington to the wire in a loss.

I hate draws and now the math on all my calculations gets harder.

There is lots of hoops action tonight to choose from tonight. We have seven NBA games on the menu plus a large college slate available to us too. Hopefully, you have been checking out the futures articles about some of the larger conferences this week.

Winning Days: 24 (of 38)

In Review: Tuesday, March 7

Orlando Magic +2 (loss)

I guess that is why some teams are good and some are bad. The good ones rise to the occasion.

Detroit Pistons +10 (win)

The Pistons have no reason to compete hard but they keep doing so. I think you gotta really pick your spots though.

NBA Picks for Wednesday, March 8

Atlanta Hawks -3 (at Washington Wizards)

I wanted to stay off the Hawks for a little while as they adapt to their new coach but this spot just looks too good tonight. Washington was on the road last night and even though the Hawks are on the road, they are catching the Wizards in a good spot. Washington does not have good counters for the backcourt of the Hawks, who should have a really big day and set a quick pace that helps run the Wizards off their home floor.

Cleveland Cavaliers -2 (at Miami Heat)

Going with another road short favorite tonight. Cleveland is the better team to me and I am moving past the fact that they are not great on the road this season. Both of these teams are committed to defense so it may be close into the final possessions, but I love the ability of the Cavs to close ball games, at both ends These teams have split so far this season with both home teams winning. That will change this evening.

NBA Prop

Aaron Gordon Over 21.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists

Gordon is having his best season in the NBA this season. After missing some time due to injury he seems to be all the way back and I look for him to have a strong game this evening, This is a very low total for him (24.5 is common) and we don't want to miss it. Chicago is not a fast-paced team but they are also not going to put up a lot of resistance.
