NBA fans urge Jeanie Buss to sell the Los Angeles Lakers after being hellbent on not wanting to trade future draft picks.

The Los Angeles Lakers currently sit as the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a record of 20-24. With more than half of the games already played this season, the Lakers would have hoped to be in a much better position by this point.

Although LeBron James is having a stunning season so far, the rest of the team has failed to match his level. Keeping that in mind, many expected the Lakers' front office to make a few trades by now. With the NBA Trade Deadline arriving soon, it is the perfect time to make the said trades.

Unfortunately, according to a recent report by Heavy Sports, Jeanie Buss has no plans to sell the future of the team.

They have come this far without trading the two picks (in 2027 and 2029) away, and it is going to be very hard to move Russell Westbrook without putting one of those picks into the deal. You’ve got a lot of the organization saying, ‘We should trade picks and win now,’ but some in the organization are saying, ‘Do not sell out the future.’ And Jeanie Buss is with the second group, and that is what matters most

The Lakers currently have two future first-round draft picks that could get him high-value players in return. But if the owner of the team is uninterested in using them to enter win-now mode, it's certainly bad news for the fanbase.

Jeanie Buss Gets Blasted By Los Angeles Lakers Fans

After missing the NBA playoffs last season, most fans expected the Los Angeles Lakers front office to be very active in the offseason and throughout the season to make good trades. But no such trades have happened so far.

This is not the first time that the fanbase of the organization has expressed its frustration with the ownership and front office. However, this time around, the fans were even more vocal than earlier and even urged Jeanie Buss to sell the team.

As fans expressed, it seems like Jeanie Buss is unaware of the fact that the Lakers are currently a win-now team with the presence of LeBron James on the roster. If things continue at this pace, it wouldn't be a surprise if James demands a trade from the Lakers this summer.
