The Los Angeles Lakers got a big player in Rui Hachimura and NBA fans are loving this move.

The Los Angeles Lakers shocked the NBA world this Monday after completing an unexpected yet great trade with the Washington Wizards. After a couple of months full of rumors and speculation, the Purple and Gold finally pulled the trigger on this move and unloaded one of their guards in exchange for Rui Hachimura.

The Japanese player, who wasn't happy with the Wizards, has found a new home in the league, and he's expected to do big things in Los Angeles. Even though he's yet to prove what he brings to the table, Rui is believed to be a solid player that can help the Purple and Gold with his scoring while Anthony Davis is out of action.

This trade sees Kendrick Nunn joining the Wizards, as well as "2023 second via Chicago, 2029 LA second and less favorable of 2028 Washington/LA seconds", announces Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN

NBA Fans Think Lakers Won The Rui Hachimura Trade

This move was shocking, and many fans loved it for the Lakers. The situation was quickly resolved, and now the 4-year player is headed to Southern California to join his new team. This trade can be very beneficial for the Lakers, and seeing the reaction of fans, they did great business with the Wizards.

The Lakers are currently on a two-game winning streak, showing their quality against big teams like the Memphis Grizzlies. The 17-time NBA champions were thought to be willing to wait until the offseason to make any move via trade or free agency.

Now, things have changed, and the front office is doing what they're expected to do if they want to compete this season. The Purple and Gold can do a lot better with Hachimura on the roster, and if he plays well alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers will be a very dangerous rival in the Western Conference.
