The New York Knicks have interest in Tobias Harris.

Tobias Harris is currently a solid forward who currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers. He is well-known for his two-way play: he is a solid perimeter defender and rebounder and a decent floor spacer on the offensive end. Currently, Tobias Harris is averaging 16.7 PPG, 6.2 RPG, and 2.8 APG while shooting 40.5% from beyond the arc.

Over the course of the last few years, Tobias Harris has frequently been featured in trade rumors. Many believe that the Philadelphia 76ers need to move his contract, and it was considered to be one of the worst contracts in the league. It seems as though there are teams interested in him this year as well, as Knicks insider Ian Begley recently revealed that the New York Knicks have already targeted him in a trade.

“One thing worth noting on the trade front, is the Knicks at least talked internally about the idea of acquiring Tobias Harris via trade before their winning streak started, and obviously Harris having a nice game against the Knicks on Christmas Day. Tom Thibodeau spoke highly of him before the game. Just one name to keep an eye on,”

There is no doubt that Tobias Harris would be a good addition to the New York Knicks. His willingness to defend multiple positions and rebound will likely endear him to coach Tom Thibodeau, and he could be a solid veteran in the locker room as well due to his experience. The New York Knicks do have other trade targets and have notably been linked with Zach Lavine.

The Philadelphia 76ers Are Willing To Trade Tobias Harris

If the New York Knicks do want Tobias Harris, then it is quite possible that a trade will happen. It was previously reported that the Philadelphia 76ers are willing to trade Tobias Harris, and it is obvious that the team is exploring every opportunity to get better.

76ers officials have begun their usual check-ins with teams across the league ahead of the Dec. 15 date for players who signed contracts in the offseason to be traded, when trade talks begin to intensify. Philadelphia’s Tobias Harris has come up in the 76ers’ conversations with clubs so far, league sources said.

It remains to be seen if Tobias Harris does, in fact get moved. He has been a solid No. 4 option for the Philadelphia 76ers, but the team could still elect to move him if it helps their chances of winning with Joel Embiid and James Harden.

Hopefully, though, we see the Philadelphia 76ers keep Tobias Harris. He has been a valuable player for them this season, and we'll see if they stay put or make moves ahead of the trade deadline.
