If you’re an NBA fan and enjoy the Golden State Warriors’ brand of basketball, you might have more matches out there for you on the online dating world than you would think.

A report released by online dating site Zoosk, shows that the NBA is the most-popular sport mentioned in online dating profiles, with Major League Baseball, rugby, boxing and the NFL rounding out the top five.

The NBA has seen a message rate increase of 111 percent. MLB comes in second with a 108 percent increase. Mentions of the NFL have increased by 69 percent.

In terms of the NBA, it’s all about the Warriors.

  • Golden State Warriors: 80 percent
  • Portland Trail Blazers: 75 percent
  • Indiana Pacers: 71 percent
  • Orlando Magic: 69 percent
  • Oklahoma City Thunder: 67 percent

This could be due to the Northern California Bay Area being among the first regions to issue stay-at-home orders during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite their team boasting a league-worst 15-50 record when the NBA season was suspended, Warriors fans are missing basketball.
