NBA Player Props for Wednesday, Oct. 25: Let's jump right in the Poole

Happy NBA New Year! I know the season started yesterday but I didn't have a chance to say hello just yet. In this space, I am going to try and set you up for some success playing NBA props.  It is such a good market to exploit with every game offering so many options and great payouts too. (P.S. I am always looking for payoffs that are really worth it. That means no Kevin Durant Over 12.5 points at -5000.)

Without further ado, let's get started.

NBA Player Props — Wednesday, Oct. 25

Jordan Poole 30+ Points +170 (alt line)

Poole is going to get all the shots he can handle this season with Washington. I am looking for him to make a splash in the opener, even if it might take him 30 shots to get there. It will help that the Wizards opponent for tonight, the Pacers, are going to keep the game going fast pace too. My only worry is that Indiana might dominate, limiting his playing time. However, it is G1 and neither team is playing tomorrow so you should give your players some real burn.

You can also get 27.5 at +135 as another alternative line

Clint Capela vs. Mark Williams — Rebounds Moneyline (Williams +125)

The one thing that Williams has proven in his short career is that he can rebound the ball. As his rookie season progressed he earned more minutes and in three April games, he averages 11.7 rebounds per contest. This season he can expect to be playing minutes at that level all season long, beginning with the opener. Of course, Capela has been a consistent rebounder throughout his career but his numbers are trending down and Williams is a tough big body to contend with. Love the value here.

Jabari Smith 18+ Points (+300) (alt)

I do not know how much Houston is going to win this season but with the addition of point guard Fred VanVleet and wing Dillon Brooks, they appear to want to play winning basketball. I think that is going to really help Smith, who was solid but unspectacular last season as a rookie. He has great fundamentals though so as the simplicity of the game ramps up it will help him more than some of the Rockets' other young players. He can drop 20 points in the opener tonight.

Jakob Poeltl 12+ Points (+110) or 12+ Rebounds (+255) (alt)

The Raptors have a new coach so role definition is still a bit iffy. What isn't is that Poeltl is the only player with real size on the Toronto roster (Christian Koloko is out tonight) and Minnesota plays with a 7-footer on the floor most of the time, and sometimes they play two. I think Poeltl will see more minutes tonight than normal and that gives him a chance to start the season with a very productive game (as long as he does not get into foul trouble).
