NBA prop bets: Expect three-pointers from these five players tonight

We're back with three-point targets for tonight in the NBA. This Friday brings with it some of the weakest defenses on threes, which is good news for us.

Now it's about nailing down the volume spots and finding some makes. I typically put .5 unit on every bet I highlight below unless otherwise specified.

Let's get to the players that stick out.

Fred VanVleet

VanVleet let us down the other night, making just two of his seven attempts.

The volume remains for FVV, who is averaging 8.1 three-point attempts per game in his past 10. The opponent is a choice matchup against Orlando, which allows the sixth-most threes per game, the sixth-highest percentage from deep and struggles guarding point guards.

VanVleet has faced the Magic once this season, making three threes.

Betting options:

  • .75u: 3+ threes (-140 FanDuel)
  • .25u: 4+ threes (+196 FD)

Jalen Green

Jalen Green is absolutely rolling, averaging 12.5 three-point attempts per game in his past four and making five-plus threes each game.

He's had a slew of soft opponents with two games against Portland and one against Sacramento, and guess what? He gets Sacramento again tonight.

The Kings are allowing the eighth-most threes per game and allowing opponents to shoot the second-highest percentage from deep this season.

There's every reason to believe Green can keep this rolling.

Betting options:

  • 4+ threes (+134 FD)
  • 5+ threes (+300 FD)

Saddiq Bey

Finally, we can get back to our favorite three-point shooter in Saddiq Bey!

The Thunder are allowing the fourth-most threes per game, giving Bey a great target to put his high-volume attempts in the hoop.

Bey is averaging 8.9 3P attempts per game in his past 10, a number that stays steady at 8.4 in his last five.

I love following Bey's attempts when we can. He just shoots so much.

Betting options:

  • 4+ threes (+126 FD)
  • 5+ threes (+300 FD)

Keldon Johnson

Yep, we're going to continue targeting Keldon Johnson despite his recent misses for us.

He's playing the Portland Trail Blazers, which for my regular readers could end the analysis right there.

Portland is allowing the third-most threes per game and letting opponents shoot 37.2% from long range, the highest percentage in the NBA.

When Johnson last faced the Blazers, he had five threes.

He's averaging 7.9 attempts from deep in his last 10, typically with a floor of eight attempts.

We just have to follow the volume here for our biggest play of the night. I'm putting .5u on all of these.

Betting options:

  • 3+ threes (-113 FD)
  • 4+ threes (+235 FD)
  • 5+ threes (+600 FD)

Will Barton

We'll end with Will Barton, who is picking up his shots lately, with 23 three-point shots in his last three games.

Barton and the Nuggets face Minnesota tonight, which allows the fifth-most threes per game.

Barton has made two threes in seven straight games, so if you're looking for a parlay piece, a lower total here for Barton makes a ton of sense.

Betting options:

  • 3+ threes (+134 FD)
  • 4+ threes (+350 FD)

Other Names to Monitor

LeBron James is in a good spot for threes assuming he plays, as he sat out last night. I would've highlighted Paul George or someone on the Clippers, but it seems both the Clippers and Bucks are resting everyone, so I don't want to dissect that game at all.

Good luck tonight!
