NBA props for 3/20: Double your pleasure on the Cavaliers

Yesterday I took two bets on the Hornets. One hit, but it was still a 1-3 day. The only saving grace was that Micic was our biggest payoff of the day. Maybe I should have known better than to back both Bridges on the same day.

Also, my apologies on those First Four picks, I never saw Wagner coming and Virginia is officially on the list (though that might not matter, given their season is over).

We have more First Four games tonight (I am backing Colorado and Montana State) and eight NBA games. Milwaukee is in Boston, so at least there is that. I am not sure we get the game we are hoping for though.

NBA Props for Wednesday, March 20

Darius Garland Over 22.5 Points (+115) Alt Line
Heat vs. Cavaliers, 7 p.m. ET

When Donovan Mitchell is out it is never a bad idea to back Garland to have a big night. I like the points here because they are going to need him to score and because Miami is not all that strong defending lead guards. I like this alt line because we do not have to get too much more than the 21.5 points, just one more bucket and the payoff goes from -105 to +115.

Caris Levert More Points Than Terry Rozier (+124)
Heat vs. Cavs, 7 p.m. ET

Garland is not the only one who benefits from Mitchell being out. LeVert has scored 20+ in each of the last two games and this is a neat double-up on the Cleveland starting backcourt (I doubt both fail). I was surprised that the market is so optimistic about Rozier, who has underwhelmed since being acquired by Miami. He is streaky and will have to guard Garland too.

Jusuf Nurkic Over 10.5 Points (+100)
Sixers vs. Suns, 10 p.m. ET

Sometimes it seems that Nurkic is only focused on getting rebounds. He has a couple of 20+ board games recently. In this one, he should dominate on the glass again and offensive rebounds should make it easy for him to get to his seasonal average. His scoring is a little down in March but his minutes are steady so there not too much to worry about.

Lu Dort Over 2.5 Three Pointers (+130)
Jazz vs. Thunder, 8 p.m. ET

Dort is becoming a not-so-secret weapon, for the Thunder, and for bettors. I backed this bet a couple of games ago and it cashed. He only made a couple of threes in his last game but has cashed this prop three games in a row heading into that one. He is shooting it better than he ever has this season. Great payoff given he is making more than 40% of his attempts with reasonable volume.
