NBA props for Friday Feb. 9: Look for Nikola Jokic to rebound

Yesterday was a weird day. I was heavy on the Bucks and high on Anthony Edwards to best Giannis in scoring. We got that winner with Edwards, so yesterday was a strong day, even though we had a no-bet in the Pacers/Warriors game with Klay Thompson not playing. It might have been a loss with Aaron Nesmith only making one three-pointer. We were 2-1 on the day with that big cash out (+215) and I am sure we might have been 3-0 had the Orlando game been closer.

Tonight there are just six games in the Association. We have some really big spreads and some games worth tuning into like the Nuggets at the Kings.

Results to Date: 86-141, -223.1 Units (made a dent yesterday)

NBA Props for Friday, Feb. 9

Onyeka Okongwu 15+ Points (+130)

Okongwu has seen a bump in playing time of late, getting better than 30 minutes in all three February games so far. He has scored 19, 18, and 22 points and become more of a focal point of the offense, which is a change for the Hawks. He makes a high percentage of his shots so there is no reason for Atlanta not to use him more. No Joel Embiid makes it easier to score inside against Philly, too.

Nikola Jokic More Rebounds than Domantas Sabonis (+100)

These are the No. 1 and No. 3 rebounders in the league it makes sense that Sabonis is the favorite (he is the top rebounder). When you look at how they have fared in matches against each other the rebounding stats are very even so I am going with the better payoff. My only fear is the back-to-back factor for the Nuggets tonight but it was a short trip from L.A.

Michael Porter Jr. Over 2.5 Three (+100)

This one cashed last night and for all of the same reasons it is worth investing in again. Last year in two games at Sacramento, he was 5-for-9 and 4-for-8 so he will not be bothered by the environment. He also makes 40% of his three when plating with no rest this season. This should be a free-wheeling game where his attempts are up.

Jayson Tatum Under 26.5 Points (+115)

This one is leaning into the fact that a blowout is anticipated given that Boston is -17 tonight. I can get behind that and see that Boston will use it as an opportunity to give Tatum a little rest. In the past 10 games, he has had some big outputs but has been under this total more often than not. I think it is worth a shot.
