NBA props for Friday, March 15: Kelly O for good dough

Thursday was a rough one. All of my rebound props lost, but at least Lu Dort came through from deep, for us and for the Thunder. Going 1-3 is just so much better than 0-4, right?

Tonight is a great night for hoops because the college matchups we are getting actually mean something. Plus we have NBA too. Let's finish the week with some winners, shall we.

There are six games in the Association. The Clippers at the Pelicans is the only one between teams with a winning record.

NBA Props for Friday, March 15

CJ McCollum Over 16.5 Points (+100)
Clippers vs. Pelicans, 8 p.m. ET

This is a buy-low spot on the veteran guard. He only scored eight points in the Pelicans' last game and has been under this number in four of the last five. Still, he is averaging over 18ppg on the season and the last time the Pels played the Clippers he dropped 25 points. L.A. does not have great defensive guard play, they are stronger guarding wings. Look for a return to the norm from the veteran tonight.

Brandon Miller Over 4.5 Rebounds (+120)
Suns vs. Hornets, 7 p.m. ET

I envision Miller as being like Carmelo Anthony, he is always going to be known more for his scoring. However, this is a great payoff for just average production — he is at 4.2 rpg so far this season. He missed this one in his last game but in the six games before that, it would have cashed. The Suns are coming in a little gassed for having played last night. Charlotte should be more competitive.

Herb Jones Over 3.5 Rebounds (+120)
Clippers vs. Pelicans, 8 p.m. ET

Jones is a versatile piece for New Orleans. This year he has expanded his game a little but the Pels probably have to make a choice soon on how much they want him to be a part of their future and what to pay him. Tonight, I like him as the Pels look to guard the wing depth of the Clippers. The last time these teams played he grabbed seven boards and the payoff is strong.

Kelly Olynyk Over 1.5 Three Pointers (+135)
Magic vs. Raptors, 7:30 p.m. ET

Kelly O has become a starter out of necessity for Toronto. He had performed pretty well too. In March he is averaging 14 ppg and making more than a three-pointer per game. He has made at least two in three straight games and there is no reason for him not to keep firing away. This is a really good payoff for a pretty average result.
