Without even getting two weeks into the season, NBA Rookie of the Year odds have already shifted. While Victor Wembanyama has proven to be a generational talent, there's been some change in the order of odds after him.

The most updated odds have Chet Holmgren rising one spot to second in the order. This puts him above Scoot Henderson, who started the 2023-24 season with the second-highest odds but now sits at third. He's struggled early, while Holmgren has looked phenomenal.

  1. Victor Wembanyama: -350
  2. Chet Holmgren: +500
  3. Scoot Henderson: +3000
  4. Brandon Miller: +3500
  5. Ausar Thompson: +4500

From there, rookies like Cam Whitmore, Amen Thompson, Dereck Lively II, and Keyonte George round out the top ten as it relates to odds. Interestingly enough, 7-footers have been a focal point of this rookie class.

There's still plenty of season left, but at this point it's Wembanyama's race to lose. In most other seasons, Holmgren's production and efficiency would have him in the running for the award, but -350 odds for the Spurs' big is indicative of how tough this race is.

Even outside of those two, the depth of this class is already proving to be impressive. There's been quite a few rookies that have made legitimate impacts on their respective teams through the first handful of contests.

We'll keep you updated on all of the NBA Rookie of the Year odds shifts over the course of the season.
