During his time with the Golden State Warriors, Draymond Green has established himself as one of the premier defenders in the game, and his passing skill is fairly good as well. While he does have his scoring woes, he has a reputation across the league as one of the best complementary players next when you have an offensive superstar such as Stephen Curry.

It seems as though Draymond Green has caught others' attention. A recent report indicated that Damian Lillard would like Draymond Green on the Trail Blazers. It is possible that Green would be able to improve the Trail Blazers' defense and recreate some of what he does with Stephen Curry if he were traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Trail Blazers desperately need to improve their roster around Damian Lillard, and based on last season, they have enough on the offensive end. However, their defense wasn't great, and that was part of the reason that they were eliminated in the first round by the Denver Nuggets.

Damian Lillard and Draymond Green already have experience playing with one another. Green's transition to playing with Lillard should be smooth, considering his experience playing with elite shooters such as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant. It is obvious that Draymond Green would help defensively, but he would also give the Portland Trail Blazers another ball handler, allowing Lillard to play more off-ball.

While Damian Lillard may want Draymond Green, it is far from certain that the Trail Blazers will be able to execute a deal for the former DPOY. It is unclear whether the Golden State Warriors would trade Draymond Green, as he is a legend in the Bay area, and his chemistry with Stephen Curry isn't easily replaceable. However, nothing is impossible, and perhaps the Trail Blazers will get something done.
