The New York Knicks were a big disappointment this season. After surprising everybody last year, the New Yorkers couldn't live up to the expectations and missed the playoffs this campaign, playing nothing like the good team they were in 2021.

Their bad performances raised many questions about their future and what changes they would make in the offseason. Julius Randle decreased his level dramatically, while RJ Barrett improved his game a lot. The Kemba Walker experiment didn't work and now they need to find a solution to that.

In recent days, one solid point guard has been linked with the Knickerbockers, as they are looking to make upgrades. One player that could find his way to New York is Indiana Pacers' point guard Malcolm Brogdon.

Marc Berman of the New York Post explains that after Tyrese Haliburton arrived in Indy, the Pacers have been thinking about what to do with Brogdon. The answer could be in the Big Apple:

The Pacers are at a crossroads, trying to figure out if they are totally rebuilding or going for it next season after trading Sabonis to Sacramento in a big package that landed young point guard Tyrese Haliburton, among others.

Haliburton’s addition has made the Pacers evaluate the future of their incumbent point guard, Malcolm Brogdon, whom the Knicks have some interest in as he’s a better defender and with more size than free agent Jalen Brunson. Brogdon is 6-foot-5 but comes with a heavy contract.

The Celtics have options for the summer. They've been wandering around in the last couple of seasons and need to finally make a statement. They need a talented guard and maybe Malcolm can be that guy, or Jalen Brunson. Moreover, a player like Donovan Mitchell has been linked with them too, but that's a long shot for the legendary organization.

Whoever it is, will have a big responsibility of lifting this squad and taking it to the playoffs once again.
