After becoming an NBA Champion for the first time in his career, veteran big man DeAndre Jordan re-signed with the Denver Nuggets for another season. While Jordan will be coming back, his veteran teammate Jeff Green opted to sign elsewhere, which is something Jordan recently joked about:

The Nuggets had great chemistry last season, and that was largely due to their veterans like Jordan and Green. Every team needs leaders that can help younger players navigate the grind of an NBA season, and the Nuggets had several who filled that role perfectly. While they lost Green in free agency, Jordan will be back for another season.

Having been on some really good teams during his NBA career, Jordan was unable to secure that elusive championship before coming to the Nuggets. A star on the Lob City Clippers, Jordan made several playoff runs in LA, but couldn't get over the hump. Also a member of the Brooklyn Nets when they had Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, Jordan got to experience those talented groups as well. While none of those teams were able to win a title, Jordan stuck with it, and is now an NBA Champion with the Nuggets.

Fans often aren't able to grasp the impact that veterans make on a team, but every Nuggets player has spoken about what Jordan and others meant to their title run.
