LA Clippers star Paul George exited Tuesday night's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder with what looked like a right leg injury. George did not reenter the game, as he was helped to the locker room by the Clippers' training staff. George was initially evaluated after the game, but the Clippers provided no update on his current status.

On Wednesday morning, the Clippers announced that George suffered a knee sprain, and will be reevaluated in 2 to 3 weeks. While it is tough for the Clippers to lose their star forward for multiple weeks at this point in the season, this is certainly great news that nothing was torn, and his absence will not be as long as it potentially could have been.

When asked about George potentially missing time, Clippers star Kawhi Leonard said it's a next man up mentality. "Next man up," Leonard said. "We'll see. Like I said, we've got a group of guys that still want to win and like to play basketball. So we'll see what happens."

It is expected that George is going to miss the remainder of the regular season, which makes sense given the reevaluation timeline. While this is unfortunate, the Clippers still have an opportunity to get George back before the playoffs. As Kawhi Leonard said, the next man up mentality begins now.
