The New York Knicks continue to linger in trade talks for Bruce Brown Jr.

Of the teams said to be interested in acquiring the Toronto Raptors wing, New York is certainly the most seamless to deal with. Not only does New York have an abundance of first-round picks, but matching salary isn’t difficult to find. Evan Fournier, for example, makes enough that he could easily be swapped one-for-one for Brown salary wise.

It's therefore not hard to see why the Knicks continue to be interested in the hard-nosed Brown who would fit perfectly in Tom Thibodeau’s system.

“The Knicks appear more interested in Toronto guard Bruce Brown Jr., for whom the Raptors are seeking some return in the range of a first-round pick, compared to Atlanta’s steeper asking price of two picks and then some for Murray,” Yahoo’s Jake Fischer wrote.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Denver Nuggets have all been mentioned as teams connected to Brown as well.

For the Bucks, a trade would require parting ways with Bobby Portis in a deal that probably wouldn’t make much sense for either Toronto or Milwaukee.

Denver would have to trade either Aaron Gordon or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in order to acquire Brown, neither of which makes much sense for the Nuggets.

The Lakers have an easier path in terms of salary, but it would require Los Angeles to part with Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, or D’Angelo Russell in a deal with Toronto. All of those players are on multi-year contracts and would likely be more impactful on teams other than the Raptors.
