The Pacers have signed multiple players to their training camp roster, including veteran forward James Johnson, the team announced in a release.

Along with Johnson, the Pacers have signed guards David Stockton and Gabe York and forward Bennie Boatright, as well as rookie forward Kendall Brown — a second-round pick who received a two-way contract.

Johnson, 35, is 6-foot-7 and was waived by the Nets in early April. Before that, he appeared in 62 games, averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds, and staying true to his reputation of adding toughness and hustle off the bench.

He has been a journeyman of sorts, as the Pacers would become his 10th team. Along with the Nets, he has served two stints with the Raptors, as well as spending time with the Mavericks, Pelicans, Bulls, Kings, Heat, Grizzlies and Timberwolves.

Stockton, 31, is 5-foot-11 and is the son of Jazz legend John Stockton. He played three games with the Kings during the 2014-15 season, as well as another three with the Jazz several years later. His last NBA appearance came in April 2018.

Stockton was cut last October by the Grizzlies, then signed with the Hustle, averaging 11.2 points and 4.3 assists in the G League last season. He also spent time with the Reno Bighorns and South Bay Lakers of the G League, as well time internationally in Puerto Rico, Croatia, Germany and New Zealand. He came to the Pacers via a G League trade with the Memphis Hustle a few weeks ago.

York, 29, is 6-3 and appeared in two games with the Pacers last season, his first in the NBA.

Boatright, 26, is 6-10 and has yet to play in the NBA. He was waived by Indiana in October 2021.

Brown, 19, is 6-8 and was actually selected by the Timberwolves with the No. 48 overall pick, before being immediately traded to the Pacers. He spent just one season at Baylor, averaging 9.7 points and 4.9 rebounds.
