Paul George, Clippers not panicking despite being down 0-2 to Mavericks

The Los Angeles Clippers are two losses away from a first-round playoff exit at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks.

L.A. lost Game 1 113-103 and Game 2 127-121. The series now shifts to Dallas for Games 3 and 4, but Paul George insists the Clippers aren't in panic mode.

"There is none," he said about the team's level of concern, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. "It's a competition. We got to rise to the occasion. The fact of the matter is if we don't, we're done for."

He added: "We got to incorporate our defense. Luka (Doncic) is going to get his touches. We just got to do a better job defensively of quieting everyone else."

Doncic is having an incredible postseason thus far. In Game 1, the Slovenian notched a 31-point triple-double and followed it up with 39 points, seven assists and seven rebounds in Game 2.

The Clippers need to at least win one game on the road if they want a fighting chance to move on to the next round. However, winning Game 3 is critical for L.A. as no team has ever come back from an 0-3 series deficit.

Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said he's "not concerned" about the next two games because "you come in on an opposing team's floor and play, there's no pressure on you to make shots."

While that may be the case, the Clippers have added pressure this postseason after blowing a 3-1 series lead to the Denver Nuggets last season.

Game 3 between the Clippers and Mavericks is set for Friday night.
