Paul Pierce tweet shows he's still adjusting to single life

Two years ago, recently-divorced Paul Pierce was fired from ESPN after posting a racy video with strippers. Clearly he's still finding his way in the dating world.

Pierce lost his job after posting a live stream with strippers and what appeared appeared to be marijuana smoking. Which is a shame because he would be the perfect analyst to weigh in on Ja Morant streaming from a gentlemen's club with a handgun.

Now Pierce is showing why he'd prefer to hang out in his home, even without strippers. It sounds like Pierce ended up paying for three dinners instead of the two he planned on in his recent date. We are surprised Pierce's solution wasn't to fake an injury and get wheeled out of the restaurant before the check arrived.

Losing his job has freed up Paul Pierce to be his pure, thirsty self on social media. He answers to only Paul Pierce. For example:

Of course, there could be a darker side. Pierce is facing a lawsuit over an alleged high-stakes poker debt. His rooftop hookah bar, "The Truth Hollywood," closed during the pandemic. He also got sued by his "weed consultant" over alleged unpaid wages.

Putting these together, it's possible Pierce really doesn't have the budget for an unplanned dinner for three. Look, he was wrong about being better than Dwyane Wade, but Pierce is right on this one.

If someone asks you on a date, don't bring a friend, even if you think your date's 19-year NBA career means the extra meal is no big deal. There's only one Big Three in Pierce's life, and unless you're Kevin Garnett or Ray Allen, you aren't a part of it.

Better yet, just go out on Taco Tuesday. Where we at Tonight?
