New Orleans Pelicans forward Larry Nance Jr. will miss four to six weeks after aggravating a fractured right rib, the team announced Thursday.

Nance missed four games earlier this month due to the injury and returned on Nov. 22 against the Sacramento Kings.

Nance, 30, sat out Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers with an illness and also was slated to miss Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Nance is averaging 3.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14 games this season. The nine-year veteran is in his third season with New Orleans and has career averages of 7.8 points and 6.3 rebounds in 475 games with four teams.

Also, the Pelicans reportedly will have guard Trey Murphy III available for the first time this season on Friday. New Orleans listed Murphy as questionable on its injury report.

Murphy underwent surgery on his left knee to repair meniscus damage in September.

The sharpshooter averaged 14.5 points and made 202 3-pointers in 79 games (65 starts) last season, his second in the NBA with the Pelicans.
