Pistons forward Bojan Bogdanovic suffered a low-grade right calf strain and will miss the preseason opener on Sunday, the team announced.

Bogdanovic will have the injury re-evaluated next week. It presumably will not force him to miss much time.

Bogdanovic, 34, is coming off his first season with Detroit, appearing in 59 games and averaging career-highs of 21.6 points and 49 percent shooting. That included 41 percent on 3-pointers. He has also spent time with the Jazz, Pacers, Wizards and Nets.

An Achilles injury limited him to just three games after the All-Star break in February, though that reportedly has not bothered him since the end of last season.
