Earlier this week, the Detroit Pistons found themselves on the wrong end of a controversial loss. The refs later admitted they missed a foul call on Ausar Thompson, but it does not change the end result of their matchup with the New York Knicks.

To add to what the Pistons were going through, they had to take the floor again the next night after their crazy finish in New York. They quickly traveled to Chicago Tuesday to take on the Bulls.

Detroit ended up taking care of the Bulls on the second night of a back-to-back. They also had some reinforcements that night, as Isaiah Stewart was in action for the first time since his suspension. The young big man finished with 11 points and nine rebounds in his return to action.

After practice on Thursday, Stewart talked to the media about his suspension and other topics. Among the things he brought up was Cade Cunningham's leadership. Stewart praised his teammate for how he rallied the group the past few days after how things unfolded against the Knicks.

"Cade did a great job of talking to the group, keeping the group together. His leadership has been great," Stewart told reporters. "They didn’t dwell on the last call from that play. We came out, we played hard from start to finish."

Along with his leadership behind the scenes, Cunningham has been stepping it up on the court as well. The former No. 1 pick has strung together multiple impressive outings since the All-Star break. In the win over the Bulls, Cunningham finished with 26 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
