The Pistons have waived guard Keifer Sykes, as relayed by RealGM.

He had just been signed by the Pistons two days earlier, a move that was clearly designed to obtain his G League rights. Like center Micah Potter, Sykes appears to be headed to the Motor City Cruise. Potter was waived by the Pistons on the day Sykes signed.

Sykes, 28, is 6-foot-0 and appeared in 32 games with the Pacers last season, his first in the NBA, averaging 5.6 points. He first signed with the Spurs in September 2015, but was waived less than a month later.

He initially signed with the Pacers in August of last year, before being waived prior to the end of the season. He was brought back in December, then waived again in April.
