Precious Achiuwa continues to progress toward a return for the Toronto Raptors at some point in the next few days.

The 24-year-old is once again listed as questionable with a left groin strain ahead of Saturday’s game against the Boston Celtics. Achiuwa has missed five straight games for Toronto with the strain. He had been listed as questionable ahead of Wednesday’s game before ultimately being ruled out pre-game.

The strain is the same injury Achiuwa suffered in the preseason that sidelined him for almost all of Toronto’s preseason schedule. He did return for the Raptors’ final preseason game and played in three regular season contests before suffering the injury again against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Achiuwa had practiced with the team earlier in the week but was not cleared to play against the Dallas Mavericks. He’s likely to be back at some point either Saturday or when the Raptors return early next week against the Washington Wizards.

If Achiuwa remains out, expect Otto Porter Jr. and Chris Boucher to continue to lead the Raptors off the bench until the 6-foot-8 forward returns.

Christian Koloko remains sidelined with his ongoing respiratory issues. There remains no timeline for his return this season.

Toronto’s two-way players, Ron Harper Jr., Javon Freeman-Liberty, and Markquis Nowell are all with the Raptors 905. None of the group has played for the Raptors this season.

The Boston Celtics will be on the second half of a back-to-back after taking on the Brooklyn Nets tonight. Al Horford is out for Friday’s game for rest but it’s possible he plays Saturday against Toronto.
