The Milwaukee Bucks had a mostly pedestrian offseason this season with acquiring new talent. The Bucks signed Joe Ingles in free agency to add to a roster that will be mostly the same following several re-signings. A report came out recently that the Bucks showed interest in former NBA Sixth Man of the Year but couldn’t close the deal.

Tony Jones of the Athletic went on The Bill Riley Show. Jones said the Bucks wanted to trade for Jordan Clarkson with the Utah Jazz.

“Milwaukee showed a lot of interest in him,” Jones said of Clarkson. “But the Jazz would have had to take back George Hill in a potential trade, and they weren’t going to do that. That was kind of a non-starter for them. But other than Milwaukee, I don’t think there’s really been a serious suitor for Jordan.”

Clarkson would have been an intriguing option for the Bucks this season. Clarkson was averaging 16 points a game for the Jazz last season. He also averaged 2.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds a game. Clarkson would have been a great addition to the Bucks. They need someone who can come off the bench to score, especially when Giannis Antetokounmpo is off the court to rest.

The Bucks appear to be still looking to add help to their roster. There have been rumors connecting the Bucks to a potential trade for Jae Crowder of the Phoenix Suns. In the next few weeks, it’ll be interesting to see if the Bucks will pull the trigger to bring in a big-name player before the regular season starts. It appears the Bucks aren’t content with their current roster.
