Report: Celtics legend joining Skip Bayless on FS1's 'Undisputed'

Celtics legend Paul Pierce could soon be debating the recurring and often exhausting "MJ versus LeBron" topic with Skip Bayless.

According to the New York Post, the Hall of Famer is "likely joining" Bayless on "Undisputed" on FS1. The report added the deal could be finalized "as soon as this week" with the NBA regular season entering its final leg ahead of the playoffs.

Since Shannon Sharpe's departure to ESPN, "Undisputed" has featured Bayless and Keyshawn Johnson as co-panelists, with Michael Irvin, Richard Sherman, and Rachel Nichols returning to the set as regular contributors.

Pierce was infamously fired from ESPN in 2021 after an Instagram video showed him playing poker and smoking marijuana while surrounded by scantily clad women. Last July, Pierce claimed he didn't warrant a firing from ESPN, telling Lance Armstrong on Fox's "Stars on Mars" that there wasn't anything "illegal going on" at his party.

Since his firing from ESPN, Pierce has maintained a presence as an NBA analyst on shows such as "Ticket & The Truth" and "The Truth Lounge" on YouTube. He also made several appearances on "Undisputed" last year before the new NBA season started. For the most part, Pierce has been a straight shooter, with several of his takes stirring the pot and even eliciting responses from his peers.

Pierce, the 2008 NBA Finals MVP, was named in the NBA's top 75 players list as part of the league's anniversary team in 2021. He was among 15 Celtics greats to receive the incredible honor.
