According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns are interested in trading for Chicago Bulls center Andre Drummond.

Drummond is making $3.4 million this season in the final year of his contract.

“One Bulls player who could be dealt, however, is center Andre Drummond who’s drawn trade interest from the Celtics, Mavericks, Lakers and Suns, league sources told HoopsHype,” Scotto wrote. “The Rockets also considered making a run at Drummond before acquiring Steven Adams.”

A two-time All-Star, Drummond is averaging 7.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks this season while shooting 55.3% from the field and 55.8% from the free-throw line. He has eight double-doubles.

Drummond played 21 games for the Lakers during the 2020-21 season. The four-time rebounding champion doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract, so he can’t control where he gets traded if the Bulls decide to move him.

The NBA trade deadline is on February 8. The Bulls are 23-27. They are in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. It’s unknown if Chicago is going to be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline in the wake of Zach LaVine undergoing season-ending foot surgery.

Drummond, 30, has career averages of 12.8 points, 12.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks with the Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers, Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and Bulls. He’s 14th in NBA history in rebounds per game.

The Celtics have the best record in the NBA, the Suns are in sixth place in the West, the Mavericks are in eighth place in the West and the Lakers are in ninth place in the West.
