Report: Hawks restricted free agent John Collins drawing interest from multiple teams

Multiple teams are showing interest in Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins following his performance in this year's NBA playoffs, Shams Charania of The Athletic  reports

According to the report, the Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves are among the teams interested in Collins, who is set to become a restricted free agent this summer.

CBS Sports points out Atlanta is still in the mix to bring Collins back, which team owner Tony Ressler made very clear in his recent end-of-season press conference.

“Our job is to come to a fair agreement with John. That’s our objective. There should be no question,” Ressler said at the time. “He’s a really good player and maybe, more importantly, a really good person. So the idea of having both is important to this franchise. That’s my view."

Collins averaged 13.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 35.7 percent three-point shooting in 18 postseason games.
