Report: Hawks trade Cam Reddish to Knicks in multi-player deal

The NBA Trade Deadline is less than one month away and on Thursday morning, the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks reportedly made the first significant splash.

ESPN NBA Front Office Insider Bobby Marks had further details on the reported transaction.

Reddish -- who played alongside current Knicks third-year pro RJ Barrett with the Duke Blue Devils during the 2018-2019 college basketball season -- is averaging a career-high 11.9 points per game this year. The former 10th overall pick has also averaged 2.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 23.4 minutes per game across 34 contests, including seven starts.

Reddish has missed six games with Atlanta this season and is currently nursing an ankle injury, but has posted a pair of 30-point performances this year including a career-high 34 on Dec. 22, 2021 against the Orlando Magic.

Hill is in his ninth NBA season, but is out for the rest of the season due to a right hamstring tendon tear. Knox was selected by New York ninth overall in the 2018 NBA Draft and is averaging career-lows in both points (3.6) and minutes per game (8.5), while playing in just 13 games thus far.
