Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson Rob Gray-USA TODAY Sports

The Utah Jazz look likely to be active ahead of the Feb. 8 NBA trade deadline and could put some high-profile guards on the block.

The Jazz are open to trading both Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton, according to Jake Fisher of Yahoo Sports. Talen Horton-Tucker could also be available for the right price.

The Jazz are being treated as both buyers and sellers at this point, but Clarkson and Sexton clearly do not fit in their long-term plans. Both are under contract for two more seasons beyond this one, though neither has a particularly expensive contract that would qualify as immovable.

Keyonte George is fairly entrenched as Utah’s point guard of the future, so it makes sense for them to relieve some of the logjam in their backcourt. Still, Clarkson and Sexton are the team’s second- and third-leading scorers, respectively, averaging 18.1 and 17.4 points per game so far on the season.

Clarkson’s name has come up in trade rumors already this year, with one team in particular being linked to a potential deal.
