Report: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's son arrested for allegedly stabbing neighbor

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's son has found himself in, well, a lot of trouble. Adam Abdul-Jabbar, 28, was arrested Wednesday after reportedly stabbing his Orange County neighbor multiple times, according to TMZ.

Police responded to a call about a stabbing on June 9 around 10 p.m. and Jabbar's son was booked on one count of assault with a deadly weapon. He has since been released from police custody.

Jabbar's victim transported himself to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, TMZ adds, and the investigation is ongoing.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a Hall of Famer and Los Angeles Lakers legend, is widely considered one of the best players in NBA history. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks No. 1 overall in 1969 and made an immediate, lasting impact, leading the team to a 1971 championship.

From 1975-1989 Abdul-Jabbar was a staple in the Lakers lineup, leading the team to five NBA titles during that span. He also won three MVP awards during his time in L.A. and was named NBA Finals MVP in 1985. Abdul-Jabbar won six NBA Championships, two NBA Finals MVP awards and six MVP awards during his career. He was named to the All-Star team 19 times and the All-NBA team 15 times.
