Phoenix Suns fans will have to keep waiting for Kevin Durant to make his home debut.

According to Shams Charania of 'The Athletic,' star forward Durant is expected to be re-evaluated in two weeks after spraining his left ankle in warmups ahead of Wednesday's desert showdown with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Durant’s exact return date will be based on his rehab progress, with Charania passing along that the swelling in Durant's ankle has already gone down.

A troubling earlier report had suggested that Durant could miss even more time with his sprain, making this latest update relative good news for the Suns, all things considered. Still, at the very least, Phoenix will probably have to make it through a bare minimum of six games without their newly-acquired star.

Phoenix currently sits at 37-29 on the season, fourth in what has largely been a fluid Western Conference. The Suns are 2.5 games above the play-in tournament zone with a total of 16 regular season games left in the regular season.
