Report: Lakers, Pacers 're-engaged' in trade talks surrounding guard Buddy Hield

"There has been some talks re-engaged between the Lakers and the Indiana Pacers, now that would center around a Buddy Hield deal," McMenamin said. "And could be a deal that would include Russell Westbrook if you're talking about also having Myles Turner in that deal. Or, perhaps it could be a secondary move where you would be talking about a Taylor Horton-Tucker package to try and get Buddy Hield."

Hield was acquired in February by the Pacers with Tyrese Haliburton and Tristan Thompson from the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Justin Holiday, Jeremy Lamb, Domantas Sabonis and a 2023 second-round draft pick. 

Hield, 29, averaged 15.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists over 81 games for the Sacramento Kings and Pacers. 

He posted 18.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 26 regular-season games with the Pacers last season. 

Originally the No. 6 overall pick in 2016 by the New Orleans Pelicans, Hield has played six NBA seasons for the Pelicans, Kings and Pacers. In 468 career games, Hield has averaged 15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
