Report: LeBron James to sign deal with Pepsi after leaving Coca-Cola

After not renewing his deal with Coca-Cola, it appears LeBron James is joining the company's competitor.

According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, James is signing with Pepsi and is expected to promote the Mountain Dew brand, which has been one of the NBA's sponsors since 2015.

James signed with Coke in 2003 before his rookie season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The company was one of his longest-standing endorsement partners, Windhorst adds, including Nike and Upper Deck.

The 36-year-old is the NBA's top earner through endorsements, raking in more than $50 million per year. Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Russell Westbrook, Zion Williamson, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard and Klay Thompson are also among the league's top-10 endorsement earners.

James' other endorsement deals include McDonald's, Blaze Pizza, Beats Electronics, State Farm Insurance, Audemars Piguet, Dunkin' Donuts, Samsung, Kia, Verizon and Intel, per sportskeeda.
