Report reveals details of Kevin Porter Jr.'s locker room outburst

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kevin Porter Jr. made his first official appearance of the 2020-21 NBA season while sitting on the bench during Friday's win over the New York Knicks.

It appears he's now played his final minutes as a member of the organization.

The Athletic reported on Monday that Porter threw food and also shouted at Cavs general manager Koby Altman upon learning that his locker was given to Taurean Prince, who was acquired via a trade involving the Brooklyn Nets last week. Spencer Davies of BasketballNews.com has since provided additional details on what was a heated and ugly confrontation.

According to Davies, Porter yelled about "modern-day slavery" during the argument.

"He snapped on Koby, and Koby snapped back," Davies wrote. "Ultimately, I think Koby being unable to calm him was the last straw that broke the camel's back."

Davies added that Porter is currently banned from practicing at Cleveland Clinic Courts. The Cavaliers are reportedly looking to trade the 20-year-old but are willing to release him if no suitor makes a respectable offer.

Porter hasn't yet played this season coming off of multiple off-the-court incidents, including a November arrest that followed a single-vehicle accident that involved the guard allegedly possessing a loaded firearm and marijuana. He was also accused of punching a woman in the face during an August occurrence.

"I'm worried about him outside of basketball at this point," a source told Davies.

As a rookie, Porter averaged 10 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
