According to Sam Amick and Kelly Iko of The Athletic, the Houston Rockets are no longer interested in trading for Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker

The Rockets will have faith in Jalen Green, who struggled in the first round of the 2025 playoffs against the Golden State Warriors.

“The Rockets have previously held serious interest in the Suns’ Devin Booker, but team sources said that is no longer the case,” Amick and Iko wrote. “Not only do team officials still have faith in Jalen Green, who is five years younger than Booker and $66 million cheaper over the next three seasons, but also Booker’s struggles last season shifted the thinking on this front.”

The Suns missed the playoffs this year, while the Rockets lost to the Warriors in the first round in seven games.

Booker, 28, averaged 25.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists for the Suns this season in 75 games. The four-time All-Star shot 46.1% from the field, 33.2% from 3 and 89.4% from the free-throw line.

Meanwhile, Green, 23, averaged 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Rockets while shooting 42.3% from the field, 35.4% from 3 and 81.3% from the free-throw line.

Booker will make $53,142,264 next season, while Green will make $33,333,333.
