Report: Rockets signing Armoni Brooks to four-year deal

The Houston Rockets have signed second-year guard Armoni Brooks to a four-year deal, according to multiple reports.

Brooks signed a two-way contract with Houston in April and made his NBA debut later that month. Across 20 games, the 23-year-old averaged 11.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 26.0 minutes per contest while posting a 40.6/38.2/58.3 shooting line.

The Waco, Texas, native played three seasons for the University of Houston men's basketball team from 2016-2019.

As noted by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the first year of Brooks' contract is guaranteed, before there are trigger dates on guarantees for successive years moving forward.
