Trade talks around the league's Feb. 8 deadline are heating up, and the Phoenix Suns are reportedly active in their attempts to strengthen the roster.

The team has been locked in on a handful of candidates, though the prominent name in Suns circles is Charlotte Hornets forward Mikal Bridges.

Phoenix doesn't exactly have a ton of wiggle room when it comes to trade ammo, thanks to their positioning in the luxury tax and lack of draft assets from the Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal deals.

For the last few weeks, the typical package the Suns have trotted out has involved Nassir Little and second-round picks, though apparently the organization has shown a willingness to include another face in trade talks: Josh Okogie.

From Yahoo! NBA insider Jake Fischer earlier today:

"Phoenix continues to be mentioned as the leading suitor for Charlotte forward Miles Bridges, league sources told Yahoo Sports. The Suns see Bridges, a Michigan State product, as a strong fit with their big three of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. However, the Suns only have second-round draft capital to play with. And while Phoenix has indicated a willingness to add Josh Okogie into a package of Nassir Little and two second-round picks for Bridges, sources said, Charlotte remains hopeful it can generate a first-round pick in return for Bridges."

The Suns have reportedly been looking to upgrade their wing power after shrugging off other potential targets at guard/center.

Okogie is a strong defensive presence on the floor, though his shooting has been erratic at best. Okogie has a player option next summer on his contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2025.
