The Phoenix Suns bounced out of the playoffs earlier than expected, but that doesn't mean we can't look back and appreciate some of the things we learned during the 2021-22 season.

We learned the new heights some players on the roster can take, and judging by their record-setting regular season, the bubble performance and NBA Finals run the year prior wasn't exactly a fluke.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is among one of the league's best players - and trash talkers.

So when he appeared on JJ Redick's "The Old Man and the Three" podcast a few months back, Redick and co-host Tommy Alter knew they were getting an elite verbal assassin.

It takes one to know one, right?

A recent clip of the episode has recently made it's way around the internet again, featuring Embiid talking about some of the best talkers he's faced in the league.

One name he spoke on: Suns guard Devin Booker.

Embiid listed Draymond Green and Kevin Durant immediately off the top of his head before being promoted by Booker and fellow Suns guard Chris Paul.

"I don't think people know that he talks a lot," said Embiid with a chuckle.

"He's always talking. Literally. But that's the thing: I love that about these type of guys. They just know how good they are."

Booker may not be widely known as a superb trash talker in the likes of Patrick Beverley or any of the aforementioned players.

However, when it comes to one of the best in the game, there's a mutual respect both on the court and exchanges between play.
