The Rockets have signed center/forward Willie Cauley-Stein, the team announced in a press release.

Cauley-Stein, 28, is 7-foot-0 and signed a multiyear deal with the Mavericks in December, only to be waived a month later after appearing in 20 games. He signed a 10-day contract with the 76ers in February but was let go in March.

Overall, he appeared in 20 games last season, including 18 with the Mavs. The No. 6 overall pick in 2015, he has also spent time with the Kings and Warriors, compiling career averages of 8.7 points and 5.9 rebounds.

Terms of his deal with the Rockets aren’t known, though it is believed he will have to make the final roster for the contract to become guaranteed.
