In a three-team deal that involves the Memphis Grizzlies, the Brooklyn Nets have sent forward Royce O'Neale to the Phoenix Suns for Keita Bates-Diop, Jordan Goodwin, three second-round picks and the draft rights to Vanja Marinkovic (via Grizzlies), via Evan Barnes of Newday

Royce officially gets traded

Royce has been one of the key trade assets of the Nets this year and has been consistently subjected to trade speculations throughout the season.

A trustworthy 3-and-D wing, O'Neale played for 49 games this season as a Net and averaged 7.4 points, 4.5 boards and 2.8 assists. He is shooting 36.6 percent from the three-point line.

The 30-year-old has a $9.5 million expiring contract that made his trade case on a high and considerable level.

Brooklyn mainly acquired significant future pieces

The trade allowed the Nets to secure two considerable pieces in Bates-Diop and Goodwin. The 28-year-old Keita will serve as another wing for the Nets as he is averaging 4.5 points and 2.6 dimes in 39 games this year. Meanwhile, Goodwin provides an additional ball-handling unit to call as he is averaging 5.0 points and 2.9 boards in 40 matches.

The Nets didn't mention Goodwin in the official trade announcement which makes him set to be waived by the ball club, per ClutchPoints’ Erik Slater.

The three second-round picks that Brooklyn secured serve as the key return that they obtained in the trade which can be used for future trades and prospect landing.
