Scottie Pippen not upset by 'The 'Last Dance' portrayal

Rumors about former Chicago Bulls great Scottie Pippen feeling disappointed about his portrayal throughout ESPN's "The Last Dance" documentary about the 1997-98 Bulls team that won the franchise's sixth NBA championship of the decade may have been exaggerated.

Per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN), Pippen has spoken with Michael Jordan about the docuseries, and the Hall of Fame forward told the AP he's not bothered by the work.

"Why would I be offended by anything that happened 30 years ago?" Pippen reportedly remarked.

"It didn't bother me at all. It was an opportunity for our younger generation that hadn't seen or knew anything about basketball in the '90s."

During interviews for the documentary, Jordan criticized Pippen for delaying surgery on a ruptured tendon in his ankle until after the start of the '97-98 campaign. Jordan also spoke harshly about when Pippen refused to come off the bench late in Game 3 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals after Pippen learned he wasn't taking the buzzer-beating shot.
