Scottie Pippen has been in the news since he released his book titled "Unguarded." The six-time NBA champ has divulged some privileged information and has made some shocking revelations, especially regarding former teammate Michael Jordan.

Even as the principal takeaway was documentation of how strained his relationship with MJ is, he took some time to comment on how the Bulls dynasty is superior to dynasties of recent years.

"I'll stack our roster against the Warriors any day — especially our second three-peat teams," Pippen said in his book.

The Hall of Famer went on to compare individual matchups, with the Bulls winning most positions, except for Ron Harper over Stephen Curry at point guard. For the small forward role, he penned that there was no clear favorite.

"Me or Kevin Durant at small forward?" Pippen continued. "You could go either way."

He concluded the comparison with "Bulls in six," pointing out that no team successfully forced a Game 7 against them.

Although those were two different eras, it is indeed hard to say which way the series would have gone. The 2016-17 Warriors were formidable, but Jordan is a difference-maker, and would undoubtedly be the decider in this hypothetical matchup.

As regards the comparison with KD, you could agree with that. Although Durant is an adept scorer, much better than Pippen, he does not provide the same level of production on the defensive end of the floor. With Pippen being an elite defender and a high-level scorer, what he lacks on the offensive end compared to KD could be made up for defensively.

Durant currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets and is leading the NBA in points per game so far in the 2021-22 NBA season. He is averaging 29.4 points, a career-high 8.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.
